Brand Design | Private Dog Bar
To create a compelling and unique brand identity for “The Thirsty Hound”, a private dog bar, the challenge was to encapsulate the essence of a fun and welcoming space for dogs and their owners. The concept had to strike a balance between the playful and the professional, ensuring it appealed to pet lovers whilst maintaining a high standard of visual clarity and effectiveness.

The ideation phase began with a brainstorming session focused on what makes a dog bar distinctive and appealing. The notion of “The Best of Both Worlds” has become a central theme, encapsulating double the fun for pets and owners. The logo features a stylized, cheerful silhouette of a dog, which instantly conveys the nature of the business with a friendly, approachable vibe. The choice of a circular logo represents unity and community, key attributes of “The Thirsty Hound’s” brand spirit.
Color played a key role in the branding process. The curated palette of warm mustard and soft gray helps draw the eye while ensuring the aesthetic remains soft and neutral, suitable for a variety of applications – from window displays to merchandise. The typography was chosen for its legibility and a touch of whimsy, aligning with the playful and sophisticated atmosphere of the bar.

The versatility of the design was tested through its application in different media. From the storefront that beckons with the promise of a friendly community space to clothing that carries the brand into everyday life, each application is designed to be instantly recognizable and inviting. Promotional materials, such as coasters and business cards, follow the same design language, ensuring brand consistency.
